Zoom Interpretation Regional Event
It all began with a simple request to manage a 3-day regional Interpretation event via Zoom platform from scratch to finish; 6 different countries (Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina), 70 participants, 4 languages and 8 interpreters to be connected on real time. Moreover, the main host responsibility was bestowed on Albaglobal.
How did we manage it? We considered the event carefully and discussed thoroughly how we should approach to it. A core team was immediately established with detailed tasks and responsibilities. Such team consisted in a coordinator, a project manager (also the Host), an IT person, a technician and supporting staff during testing. Endless of hours were spent reading, training ourselves, watching at tutorials, searching and researching, testing features and updates.
While approaching closer to the date of the event and receiving the agenda/reference materials, the team got larger by the day with interpreters joining and bringing their own expertise.
Communication intensified all sides, tests were ran one after the other and all concerns were flattened to the best way possible. A day before the event everything was ready and set up and then the rest is history. We just witnessed how every bit of the chain unveiled itself successfully.
Overall conclusion – we did it!
