Client: The South Eastern and Eastern Europe Clearinghouse for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SEESAC)
SEESAC works to strengthen the capacities of national and regional stakeholders to control and reduce the proliferation and misuse of small arms and light weapons, and thus contribute to enhanced stability, security and development in South Eastern and Eastern Europe.
Scope
As part of its plan to stop the flow and availability of SALWs in the region, consolidate current achievements and support the socio-economic conditions for peace and development in South Eastern and Eastern Europe, SEESAC ensured the translation of the firearms legislation of South Eastern and Eastern European countries in all relevant languages, in order to enable the performance of comparative studies and the establishment of a harmonized legal framework on weapons in the region. Albaglobal was contracted in 2016 for providing the translation of such legislation into Albanian.
Results
Throughout 2016, through the remarkable work and dedication of a team comprising 1 project manager, 10 translators, 4 proofreaders, 1 industry specialist, 1 graphic designer and an in-country validator, Albaglobal provided the translation of 1451 pages from Romanian, Macedonian, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin and Serbian into Albanian. Translations were delivered to a high standard, on time and with a strict technical and legal accuracy.
